Your School, Your Space

Victorian schools in Staffordshire were quite different to the county's modern schools. Although a lot of Victorian school buildings are still used today, the way that the classroom was set up, the way children were expected to behave, the way they were taught, and what they were taught were all quite different.

Your School, Your Space uses original school plans, extracts from log books, timetables and images of classrooms, furniture and objects to explore aspects of Victorian education and think about the way that things are done today.
